Mohua joins as our 1st postdoc
As a joint-postdoc with the Ramanuj DasGupta lab, she will investigate how RNA methylation patterns affect colorectal cancer phenotypes.

It has been a great and productive few years and the Goh lab will always remember its start in Singapore. Here’s to many more great years as we move over to the Institute of Molecular Physiology at the highly funded Shenzhen Bay Laboratory!
Our method for DNA 6mA single-base-resolution sequencing.
Novel RNA-internal m6Am writer, Mettl4 and its role in regulating global splicing patterns through methylating U2 snRNA. A fruitful collaboration with the Xavier Roca lab at Nanyang Technological University. It also turns out that Xavi taught both Casslynn and Irvyn during their undergraduate years!
This will fund a collaboration between us and the Ramanuj DasGupta lab that studies precision oncology.
The collobration with our good friends at the Goke lab, where developed a new algorithm, Xpore to identify RNA modification sites from Nanopore direct RNA sequencing, now summarized in our latest preprint!
We’re under lockdown, but that won’t stop us from drinking….. discussing science online.
Looking forward to present our work on Mettl4 as a novel m6Am Writer.
Check out our first bioRxiv submission where we discovered a novel RNA-internal m6Am writer, Mettl4.
Double celebration! First of our recent publication of how we developed a new technique to sequence RNA methylation at quantitative single-base-resolution. Second is to celebrate an internship well done by our visiting student Phoebe. We wish her all the best for the rest of her undergraduate degree at UBC! With honourary lab members Sarah and … More Paper celebration / Phoebe’s farewell lunch
