1. POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW
We are seeking 1 or more postdoctoral fellows to join our laboratory where we investigate how RNA modifications regulate gene expression and cellular processes, and how this eventually impacts the progression of various human disorders. The postdoctoral fellow will take on projects with the following goals:
Job description:
(1) Develop technologies to sequence notable epitranscriptomes at high resolution
(2) Generate disease-specific epitranscriptomes to facilitate the study of how epitranscriptomic defects contribute to human disorders
(3) Identify novel epitranscriptomic mechanisms (Writers, Erasers and Readers of RNA modifications) and characterize mechanistically how they regulate gene expression, cellular processes and diseases. Diseases currently under investigation include but are not limited to: embryonic stem cell development, colorectal cancer and viral-infectious diseases.
The principal investigator will also work closely with fellows to develop new project ideas relevant to epitranscriptomics and the general field of RNA biology.
Additional information:
Salary will be commensurate with experience, but is expected to be in the range of 340,000-380,000 RMB/year plus standard benefits such as health insurance and social security. The initial appointment will be for three years. Contract extension is available upon mutual agreement.
Position requirements:
PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Virology, or other related disciplines
Interest in pursuing research in epitranscriptomics and RNA biology
Highly motivated and able to work independently on multiple projects
Experience with bioinformatics is a plus
Possess good written and spoken communications skills in English.

2. RESEARCH ASSISTANT
We are seeking 1 or more research assistants to join our laboratory and work on epitranscriptomic biology research.
Job description:
1. Assist the principal investigator to complete the scientific research work in the laboratory as required, and be responsible for completing experimental records and data sorting;
2. Undertake the daily management and maintenance of the laboratory, including but not limited to: laboratory procurement of reagents and consumables, cleaning and maintenance of laboratories, and maintenance and repair of auxiliary laboratory equipment;
3. Assist in the establishment of genetically modified cell lines.
Additional information:
Salary will be commensurate with experience, but is expected to be in the range of 130,000-150,000 RMB/year plus standard benefits such as health insurance and social security. The initial appointment will be for two years. Contract extension is available upon mutual agreement.
Position requirements:
Bachelor degree or above, biological related background is preferred
Interest in pursuing research in epitranscriptomics and RNA biology
Strong experimental foundations, independent thinking and problem-solving ability, as well as a good sense of team spirit
Possess good written and spoken communications skills in English
